What is an .XLSB file?
If you use Microsoft Excel on your Mac, you can save the spreadsheets you create and open them in Numbers, Apple's spreadsheet app. It's a handy feature to use in case you can't access Microsoft's. Now, Personal.xlsb will continue to open but it'll be hidden from view. In this way, you'll still have access to the macros you've recorded, but you won't see that pesky Personal.xlsb. On your new computer, download the PERSONAL.XLSB file from your email or where ever you have it stored. Follow steps 1 and 2 to open the correct path on your new computer and drag the PERSONAL.XLSB file into the XLStart folder. To test if this was done correctly, open Excel on your new computer, click View Macros View Macros.
.XLSB is Excel Binary Spreadsheet
An XLSB file is a spreadsheet file created by Microsoft Excel, a program used to create and edit spreadsheets. It contains a spreadsheet of cells arranged by a grid of rows and columns, as well as charts, macros, and formatting. XLSB files are saved in a binary format.

XLSB files differ from standard Open XML format (.XLSX) spreadsheets since they store the spreadsheet using a binary format (BIFF12). You will most likely see and use the XLSX file more often because it is compress to save space and is easier to share with other users. XLSB files are not compressed, making them larger in size than XLSX files. However, XLSB files may perform more efficiently within Excel because they are saved in the larger binary format.
